Question: How do I remove an old door from old hinges?
( Back )
Answer #1:
The pins shouldn't have fallen out unless they were in up-side-down which is unlikely. Try to peel away the paint and have another look.
Answer #2:
Scrape the paint off the bottom of the top hinge. Can you see a slot to insert a pin driver? If not - keep scraping - the slot is probably filled with paint?
Try using a pin driver, (or screwdriver with a small shaft) and drive it into the slot. If the pin drives up - then drive it about 1/2 way up and do the bottom one.
Remove the bottom pin all the way and then use you body to push against the door to hold it and drive the top one the rest of the way out -- CATCH THE DOOR FAST.
YOU CAN DO IT!
