Question: Can i carry a 2nd battery around with me for my laptop?
( Back )
Answer #1:
I can and do with my Dell. But I shut down when changing batteries.
I just release discaharged battery by slide release and remove and install fresh charged one
Answer #2:
You don't say what model but virtually all laptop batteries have a little slid clip on the bottom that releases the battery. And yes you can charge up two batteries and carry the extra with you. If you don't have a user guide for this thing download one from the maker's website.
Answer #3:
I can't answer on hp or sony, but my friend uses Asus, and he has an extra battery in his pack bag and when the first battery is empty, he just presses a battery release and slides old one out and new in. Pretty easy and no dismantling or screwdriver needed. Hope this helps.
Answer #4:
ya but recommend keeping it in a bag or something so it doesnt get wet
Answer #5:
You can carry an extra battery as long as you aren't using a 13" MacBook.
You do have to hibernate or shut down your PC before switching batteries to avoid losing your work. No tools required.
Keep the spare battery in a proper bag or case. Any loose metal in your backpack that happens to short out the battery terminals can start a serious fire.
