Back
Shortly before spending several hours today vacuuming, washing, and buffing the car, I decided on a whim to do a bit of visual experimentation with a screwdriver and the front bumper...specifically, to see how old license plates would look on a modern automobile.
Here's the once-ubiquitous red-letter incarnation of the graphic Wisconsin license plate; introduced in 1987 at number BAA-101. Plates produced through the mid-N series in 1994 used these wide serial dies with nice curves and a vertical dash...much better-looking, in my opinion, than the skinny characters the state uses today. With the exception of an isolated fluke or two, all of these wide-die plates have been gone from the roads for the better part of ten years.
Think I should leave it like this and see how long I could get away with it? :P
